Will it hurt?

I use pain relieving products and techniques that make it as pain free and as comfortable as possible!

My customers have commented on how it’s much better than they thought, and much better than a tattoo elsewhere on the body.

My technique is also much gentler than many I have seen in the current market. Lots of SPMU artists have never picked up a machine before tattooing lips.

My experience of tattooing for over 12 years on every different skin type and age has honed my technique to be as gentle and effective as possible.

How many sessions will I need?

Lip blush is applied in 2 sessions:

Your first session (£200)

This is when we have a consultation, map out your shape, choose colours and address any pain relief questions you make have. The total session including all the consultation will last 2-3 hrs, but because of my experience in tattooing colour for over 13 years, I have the skill and technique to make sure it’s applied at quickly as possible with the least amount of trauma!

2nd session 4-8 weeks later (£40)

This is a much shorter appt. This is when we can address any colour adjustments once we see how the blush heals in your skin, and make any tweaks.

After that you can opt for yearly touch ups as the pigment starts to fade (£100). The touch ups are optional but I highly recommend them to ensure we can address any colour adjustments once we see how the blush heals in your skin, and make any tweaks.

What is it?

Lip blush is a tattoo on the lip skin that gives the effect of effortless lip balm or lipstick when you’re not wearing any. It can help reconstruct your lip border, creating a fuller lip.

How do I choose your shape?

I will map out the shape of your lips in proportion to your current lip line, facial features and bone structure and we can work together to make sure you are happy with the shape.

How long is the healing time?

The total time is normally 7-10 days. Your lips will look a bit darker in the first couple days, but don’t panic! They will then start to flake and heal and appear much lighter, before finally settling down into their new colour.

What is the recommended aftercare?

I have a section dedicated to this - select aftercare on the website menu

How do I choose your colour

CUSTOM COLOUR MATCH FOR LIP BLUSH TATTOO

I have years of experience of choosing colours to match both tattoo ink pigment on the skin and with oil painting. My colour theory has been developed with education from contemporary painting masters workshops, and from tireless dedication to getting that exact colour! This transfers to being able to predict your exact shade and any neutralisation you may need without any issues.

Other SPMU artists are taught a bare minimum in colour theory. I have the experience.

We can choose your shade together and select the best shade for your skin warmth, tone and colour aswell as your natural lip colour. If you have a favourite lipstick, it’s a good idea to bring this to your appt along with any pictures so we can work together to get your desired shade.

Are there any instances that lip blush is NOT a good idea?

If you have been suffering from cold sores, lip blush can cause a breakout- please ensure you have been free from cold sores for at least 6 months, alternatively you can ask for a prescription beforehand of aciclovir.

I don’t offer lip blush  to pregnant/nursing women, people under 18 yrs old, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, allergies to makeup, keloid disorder, HIV/hepatitis, skin cancer, haemophilia, or if you are taking skin medications such as roaccutane, blood thinners (inc ibuprofen) or steroids.
