I started making this balm for personal use, when my skin would become irritated by butters and creams with fragrances and colours added to them, or with a long list of what seems unnecessary ingredients. I wanted to create something natural, simple, and with the least ingredients possible (and so less opportunity for sensitivity and a reaction).
